2 Tiz Invincible [$2.35] ran in Group races last prep and has had two trials now with JMac on board both times. Very much the deserving favourite.
1 The Instructor [$4.40] is first-up here, but will be the leader or, at the very least, sit in the first two.
5 Cigar Flick [$5.50] is coming out of a slowly-run two-year-old event. I’m not sure what they do from barrier 8.
4 Introducing [$6.50] has had two strong trials, gets Tim Clark on here and I suspect will be in the first two in the run.
7 Roussillon [$8.00] steps up in class here and will be back in the run
I don’t give the others much of a chance here: 6 Infatuation [$16], 8 Griff [$19], 3 Fire Lane [$20].

There’s a fair few question marks here with two-year-olds returning for their three-year-old season, so it’s a race where I would be keeping any outlays relatively small. The late market will be our best guide.
The fave Tiz Invincible is the obvious – but you would want some market support late for it, being first-up. If you want to go around the favourite, Cigar Flick has had a run this prep. You would want to make sure they can run on from the back, as that is possibly where they put her in the run.

Race 7
1 Floating Artist worked home nicely last start off a break. He stays at the same distance range here and can improve.
2 Milford was unlucky last start. He gets Zahra on here and the small field suits again.
5 Flash Flood is racing well, winning his last three starts. He maps to get a good run here and can hold his rating.
6 Sissoko is a former import having his first start here. He hasn’t raced in a long time but is well found in the market.
Race 8
4 Wuddzz wasn’t suited last start on the biased track. He looks to get a better setup here, has claims.
11 Botany is racing well and maps to roll forward here. She gets down in the weights. Can run well.
14 Pearl Rain didn’t have much luck at her past couple of starts. She gets in under the minimum with a claim here and can sit handy. Can improve.
Race 9
1 Acromantula is a WA galloper over for the first time. He has a good bank of figures and was placed behind Amelia’s Jewel. Big chance here if fit enough.
4 Omni Man is racing well, winning his last three starts. Can hold that rating here.
6 Starry Legend has been given a short break after a good win last start. He maps to get a good run here.
8 Inundation is an enigmatic galloper whose best would blow these away. He doesn’t have to run to best his to be competitive here.
Race 10
9 Cute As had a good win at Caulfield, in good time at big odds. She looks a nice horse and can hold her rating here.
10 Helix resumes here after a solid campaign in the autumn. Can run well.
11 Pereille put in a huge effort last start here against the pattern. The track should be fairer here. Has terrific claims.
13 Luna Cat ran okay over 1000 metres first-up. Better suited here, can improve.
