The Knights continue on their winning ways, however it’s not just their winning that has impressed me. They have not played a bad game since May, when they were beaten soundly by the Sharks in Coffs Harbour. Since then they have either won or taken top quality teams all the way to the siren. There is a question mark over Hastings however, and his role in this team should not be underestimated.
As for Souths, they are getting desperate now and although they won against the Dragons, it was hardly convincing. The Dragons were missing a ton of talent and could have nearly tied it up with 20 minutes remaining… so Souths need to take it up a gear or two to compete with the Knights in Newcastle.
Luckily for Souths, they are welcoming back some of their big men in the form of Tatola and Sele. Although they are still missing G Burgess to suspension, this is the most powerful forward pack they have assembled for a while and with young gun Tallis really hitting his straps, I think Souths might kick start their season with a thrilling win here.
